Emerging from a chrysalis of personal journey and innovation, Firefly Events is driven by our founder’s passion for connecting with people and experiences.

While traveling to different countries, he found it challenging to engage with new places, so he developed unique apps to help him discover nearby events and opportunities.

But the real pivotal moment came when his child was born—in that moment, he knew he wanted to leave a legacy and help others pursue their passions to live their greatest lives.

And thus, Firefly Events was born: a platform dedicated to helping you discover and engage with events so that you can connect with people and broaden your horizons.

Mathew Dostal

Mathew Dostal

Mathew has worn many hats in the software industry and has been involved in many business verticals as a software engineer, solution architect, and CEO. After spending his free time in the event space for side projects and festival companies, it occurred to Mathew that he could revolutionize the event industry—and with that, Firefly Events was born. In his free time, Mathew enjoys spending time with his daughter, rock climbing, and traveling the world.

Don Matthews

Don Matthews

Don has consulted for a variety of different clients and projects but prefers native mobile development and helping clients realize their mobile application goals. At Firefly, Don takes those skills and makes magic as Mobile Development Lead and Mobile Application Architect. When not coding, Don is often working on his car so that he can better enjoy the racetrack.

Nikita Kramar

Nikita Kramar

Nikita is a talented software engineer who is fluent is—SQL, AWS Lambda, C#, and Russian. Hailing from Moscow, Nikita transplanted to the United States in 2015, bringing with him his technical expertise and his diverse cultural experiences that have cultivated an open-mindedness that enriches his innovative approach to problem-solving through a global lens. On weekends, you'll often find Nikita adventuring through the wilderness by bouldering, trekking picturesque trails, or meticulously plotting his next great adventure.
